Grace Cares announced the start of its 2026 Giving Season and asked the community to work with the Bryan-based organization on food and toy distributions for Williams County families, according to a press release from the organization.
Director Stefanie Widney said in a letter that planning for the coming year is underway. She described partnerships as necessary to meet needs in Northwest Ohio and encouraged supporters to include Grace Cares in fourth-quarter charitable plans.
Food distribution is one of the group’s strategic initiatives. According to the release, Grace Cares expanded distribution to several times per year and intends to broaden it further. This summer’s Back to School Food Distribution provided a week of groceries to households with minor children, aiming to ease pressure from school fees and supplies.
The Thanksgiving Food Distribution is set for Nov. 19 and 20. Grace Cares said it will give a week of groceries, cleaning supplies and toiletries to 150 Williams County families. Recipient registration was described as beginning in October; the release did not list a closing date.
Toys for Tots distribution is scheduled for Dec. 21 at Grace Community Church, with plans to serve 700 to 900 children in the county.
Grace Cares said it is collecting monetary donations for food and supplies and recruiting volunteers for packing, distribution and the Toys for Tots event. The office can be reached at 419-633-1125; the address is 206 W. Bement St., Bryan, and more details are available at gracecares419.org or on Facebook at @gracecares419.
