Mansfield Mayor Jodie A. Perry has announced the city’s 2026 leaf collection program. The Service Complex at 480 Park Avenue East is this year’s drop-off site, open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; residents must check in at the office before leaving leaves there. The city says public parks will not be used, citing EPA clean compost standards and workforce limits, and encourages residents to use the site or compost leaves.
Curbside work is expected to begin Monday, Nov. 9, 2026. The city plans one pass and will attempt a second, though it says weather and equipment will determine whether that happens. Crews are scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weekly progress is to be posted through news media and the city website. The route is split into four areas, then into zones also used for snow plowing; collection starts in Area One and proceeds through Areas Two, Three and Four. The city estimates about a week and a half per area.
Residents should rake leaves to the curb, not into the street. The city says street placement violates ordinance 911.06(b), can clog catch basins and may cause flooding. Curbside crews will not take limbs, brush, grass clippings, trash, debris, plastic bags or paper bags. Questions go to the Service Complex at 419-755-9803, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
