TROY — Veterans interested in putting their military experiences into writing can join monthly workshops at the Miami Valley Veterans Museum, held on the first Saturday of each month starting at 10 a.m. The next session is set for Nov. 7, and no registration is required.

Dr. Vivian Blevins facilitates the sessions. The announcement describes her background teaching veterans, college students and technology employees how to write autobiographical stories.

Author Terry Pellman is scheduled to give a guest presentation. A museum news release states that he has more than a dozen self-published books listed on Amazon and about twice that many on Goodreads. According to the release, he published "There Was a Buckeye Tree" in 2026 and is currently finishing another book. Pellman is a former member of the Ohio National Guard and a retired director of Shelby County Social Services; the release says that experience informs his grasp of human behavior and his fiction.

The museum is located at 2245 S. County Road 25A in Troy. Blevins can be reached at [email protected] or 937-778-3815 for additional details.

The source did not state whether there is a cost to attend or describe accessibility arrangements at the site.
