State Reps. Melanie Miller, R-Ashland, and Marilyn John, R-Richland County, presented a commendation Friday to Bo Lacey Construction, an Ashland County home-improvement business, recognizing its selection for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 CO—100 list of top small businesses.
The company was chosen from 12,000 applicants, according to the report, which cited growth, customer service and community trust built over more than four decades. Bo Lacey Construction describes itself as a full-service remodeler serving Ohio homeowners, with work including roofing, siding, windows, baths and related projects. It was founded in 1984.
The business added 17 payroll jobs this year and intends to add 22 more during the next two years, the report said. Its team is scheduled to travel to Washington, D.C., in the coming week for the chamber’s national award ceremony.
Miller called the national recognition a major achievement for a local company and praised its hiring, employee investment and community support. John said residents can take pride in a local business earning national attention and congratulated its staff. The lawmakers’ remarks were included in the source report.
