Realtor.com figures reported Nov. 3 put Muskingum County’s median home sale price at $252,000 for July, the latest month covered by the dataset. That was 5% above June’s $240,000 median and 14.3% above $220,500 in July 2025, according to the data.
The county recorded 115 residential sales in July, up from 89 a year earlier, a 29.2% increase. Total residential sales value was $43.1 million. Single-family homes had a median of $237,500, 1.1% higher than June’s $235,000 and slightly above $237,000 a year earlier. Two single-family transactions reached at least $1 million, compared with none in July 2025.
Condominiums and townhomes showed a median of $1,560,000, compared with $340,000 in June and $195,000 a year earlier. The reported 358.8% monthly and 700% annual increases reflect a small number of transactions: five condo or townhome sales were at least $1 million, versus none a year earlier. Such thin counts can make percentage changes volatile.
Statewide, Ohio’s median was $270,000, down 1.8% from June’s $275,000. Ohio recorded 15,378 sales, up 9.3% from 14,074 a year earlier, and total value rose to $9.6 billion from $7.5 billion.
Realtor.com derives the figures from deeds, so publication lags by several months. The data exclude current listings and are not directly comparable with listing statistics. Medians mark the midpoint of sales.
